Olaplex No 3, Olaplex at Home, The Best Products For Damaged Hair

Let’s talk about hair! Lately, I have been sharing the hair products that I love. I primarily focused on products that help with dry and damaged hair. It has taken me some time to find products that help with my dry and somewhat damaged hair. I can finally say that I have a regimen that works for me.

For reference, here is a little history of my hair: 1. I have naturally curly hair 2. I straighten my hair once a week. 3. I recently started to use heat protectants religiously THIS YEAR. 4. The last time I dyed my hair was in 2014? — somewhere around there. 5. It takes me about <30 minutes to straighten my hair.

Those are just basics that I can remember off the top of my head but it is safe to say that I don’t do much to my hair and I keep it simple as possible. I have tested these products for almost a year before putting this review together.

Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector – This is not a conditioner. It is an at-home treatment. I will never understand how I went so long without using this. This is a Olaplex No 3 concentrated treatment that repairs hair from within. I use this once a week. I apply this on towel-dried damp hair. The instructions state to apply a generous amount from scalp to the ends however, I like to focus the product towards the end of hair my hair. The suggested leave in time is about 10-15 minutes which is what I do. I have heard many people leave this in their hair overnight but I think that after a certain time the product stops working therefore, I would stick to the recommended leave in time that it states on the bottle. Once I left the product in long enough, I will continue with my shampoo and conditioner. For a limited time, you can the purchase a BONUS SIZE (8.5 fl oz) of the Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector.

Olaplex No.6 Bond Smoother Reparative Styling Creme – This is a leave-in reparative styling cream. It helps eliminate frizz, hydrate and protects your hair. image here This styling cream is perfect for all hair types, textures as well as colored andOlaplex No 6 Styling Cream chemically treated hair. To use:  I apply a very small amount to towel-dried hair focusing on the mid area of my hair towards my ends. Then I brush my hair with a paddle brush and prepare to blow dry. I never use to apply products besides a heat protectant before straightening my hair. I would always be afraid that it would weigh my hair down (some products do this) But after I used this for the first time, I have not stopped using it. With this, you only need a small amount.

Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil – When you think about adding oil to your hair, you probably think that all it will do is add shine to your hair. Not the Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil. This is the first of its kind highly concentrated but lightweight reparative style oil. It is great for all hair types and textures. Not only will this increase hair shine, but it will also make your hair feel soft while minimizing flyaways and adding heat protection up to 450°F. I love how lightweight this oil smells in my hair and how long-lasting the scent is.

One thing that I have been doing is mixing the leave-in bonding treatment and the bonding oil together and applying it to Olaplex No 7 Bonding Oilmy hair. Be sure to only use a small amount of oil. A few drops go a long way.

When it comes to the shampoo and conditioner that I use, I always switch them but right now I have been using this shampoo and this conditioner. Both are under $10 on Amazon.

Overall, I cannot stress how much I love Olaplex products. I was very hesitant to purchase a 1 oz bottle for $28.00 but it is extremely worth it considering the amount of product that you will actually use. Who knows when I will need another bottle of the Olaplex Bonding Oil because it looks like I have not even used it.

Olaplex is the best way to go for sure. I do plan on testing out their shampoo and conditioner but as of right now, I am certainly pleased with the way the treatments work with my regular shampoo and conditioner.
