If you have been following me for a while, you know that I am big on self-care. One way to practice self-care is to treat yourself to a facial. A few weeks ago, I went to The Swan Center for my first ever HydraFacial.
The Swan Center is a plastic surgery center and medical spa that is dedicated to giving its patients natural-looking results. I’ve been visiting The Swan Center for my Dysport and filler treatments for about a year with Jennifer and I could not be any happier. This time around, I had my first Hydrafacial treatment with Stephanie.

WHAT IS A HYDRAFACIAL?
The HydraFacial treatment is one of the most popular treatments on the market right now. This treatment uses a patented medical-grade hydradermabrasion device to perform a three-step regimen.
This regimen consists of cleansing, exfoliating, and lastly, hydrating your face with serums.
HOW DOES HYDRAFACIAL WORK?
As mentioned above there are three steps to a HydraFacial.
- Cleanse + Peel: This process helps reveal a new layer of skin by deep cleansing the skin. Then a gentle exfoliating is performed followed by resurfacing.
- Exfoliate + Hydrate: This step removes debris from the pores using a pain-free suction.
- Fuse + Protect: This is when the surface of your skin is saturated with peptides and antioxidants to maximize your glow.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF GETTING A HYDRAFACIAL?
Your skin thrives when it is hydrated. A HydraFacial treatment can treat many skin concerns such as oily skin, acne, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, large pores, and your overall tone, texture, and complexion.
Rather than using harsh abrasives, a HydraFacial treatment uses water to flush out impurities while pushing in anti-aging serums that will hydrate, brighten and protect your skin.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST HYDRAFACIAL TREATMENT?
Since this was my first time, my esthetician did a skin evaluation and asked a few questions to understand my skin goals, address any concerns and learn how to best treat my skin.
After you select whether you want a 30, 45, or 60-minute HydaFacial, you get lay back and relax. I did a 30-minute session and I found that to be perfect.
IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?
No. Again, this is a non-invasive treatment. Once you are done, you will love how glowy your skin looks to the point where you will not want to put makeup on.
HOW MANY HYDRAFACIAL TREATMENTS SHOULD I GET?
I was terrible about getting facials but when discussing my skin care goals, it is recommended to get a HydraFacial at least once a month or for myself, I may go every two months. This is something that you will discuss with your esthetician.
HOW MUCH DOES A HYDRAFACIAL COST?
The HydraFacial treatment costs vary based on the length of service. The Swan Center was so kind to offer my readers 15% off their first treatment, so be sure to mention my blog or my name for a nice discount!
Getting a HydraFacial treatment is something that I do plan to incorporate into my skincare routines. Let’s face it when we are young, we don’t pay that much attention to what our skin lacks. I know that my skin loves hydration and it shows.
